The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yusaku Sakaishi and Sakura Miwabe's Rich Girl Caretaker light novel series has set its premiere date for July 4, airing late at night (technically July 5) at 2:38 a.m. on TV Tokyo and BS Asahi. A promotional video showcasing the series was released alongside the announcement, offering a glimpse into the story of Itsuki Tomonari, a high school boy who ends up secretly caring for the seemingly perfect but life-skill-deficient heiress Hinako Konohana.
Adding to the cast, Ami Koshimizu will voice Shizune Tsurumi, and Takehito Koyasu will portray Kagen Konohana. They join previously announced stars Yūto Uemura as Itsuki Tomonari and Konomi Kohara as Hinako Konohana. Saori Ōnishi as Mirei Tennōji and Rio Tsuchiya as Narika Miyakojima are also part of the main voice cast. The series will feature an opening theme song titled "Sai Sai Saikōkyū no Osewa Shite" performed by angela.
Helming the production is director Shūsei Morishima at Brains Base, known for his work on School Babysitters. Aya Yoshinaga is overseeing series scripts, with character designs by Nao Kawashima. The sound direction is handled by Takeshi Takadera, and the music composition features Natsumi Tabuchi, Hanae Nakamura, and Mayo Kurihara. Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.
The Rich Girl Caretaker light novel series, published by Hobby Japan, began in May 2021 and has released eleven volumes. A manga adaptation by Sorahiko Mizushima launched in September 2021 and is ongoing. An English release of the light novel was planned by Monogatari Novels under the title Rich Girl Caretaker: I'm Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School, though recent updates indicated potential delays and difficulties with its release.
