The Arcanadea project, based on the popular sci-fi and fantasy plastic model line from Kotobukiya, has confirmed its main production staff and expanded its voice cast. During the Arcanadea Engage Fest 2026, a second teaser trailer was unveiled, showcasing the aesthetic direction for the upcoming television series. The anime is slated for a January 2027 debut, airing as part of the NUMAnimation block on TV Asahi and BS Asahi.
Keiichirou Kawaguchi, known for his work on Spy Classroom, will direct the series at Yokohama Animation Lab. The production team also features series composer Atsuhiro Tomioka and character designer Unu Shinkawa, with original character designs provided by necömi. The musical score is being handled by a duo of composers: Yuuki Hayashi, recognized for his work on My Hero Academia, and Yuki Furuhashi.
The newly announced cast members include Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shougo Kuga, Konomi Inagaki as Kaho Asagi, Mai Kanno as Rin Kirinoue, and Moka Kanzaki as Gii. While the staff and cast are now firmly established, it remains to be seen how the show will balance the model kit's distinct world-building with the narrative requirements of a full-length series. Given the pedigree of the music and directing staff, the project is positioning itself as a significant entry in the sci-fi fantasy genre for the Winter 2027 season.
