Netflix has announced a two-week delay for its upcoming live-action Japanese series, Viral Hit. The series, originally slated for a May 28 debut, will now premiere on June 11. The postponement was confirmed via Netflix Japan's Instagram account.

New still images released alongside the announcement offer a glimpse into the intense action, featuring protagonist Shimura Kota, portrayed by Ōji Suzuka, in dynamic fight sequences. The story centers on Ho-bin Yoo, a high school student who combats bullying by broadcasting his confrontations with abusers, developing his fighting prowess along the way. The original webtoon is celebrated for its rapid storytelling and satisfying action.

The adaptation is directed by Hideki Takeuchi, with Yuichi Tokunaga handling the script. The cast includes Ōji Suzuka, Ai Mikami, Araki Sugō, Mieko Harada, Nana Asakawa, and Takurō Osada. The Viral Hit webtoon, which launched in Korea in 2019, has achieved significant global success with over 2.28 billion cumulative views. It has also been adapted into a television anime series, currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
