Paramount Pictures has unveiled a new trailer for Legendary Entertainment's upcoming live-action adaptation of CAPCOM's Street Fighter game series. The trailer offers a fresh look at the film, which is slated for an October 16 release.
Set in 1993, the story follows estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) as they are recruited by Chun-Li (Callina Liang) for a World Warrior Tournament. The synopsis hints at a deeper conspiracy forcing the fighters into conflict, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
The film boasts an extensive cast, including Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as Balrog, among many others. Kitao Sakurai, known for "The Eric André Show" and "Bad Trip," is directing the production, which filmed in Australia.
This new live-action film marks the first distribution under a new multi-year deal between Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment, which began in December. Previously, Sony Pictures was set to distribute the project before it was removed from their release schedule in March 2025.
