During their recent panel at Anime NYC, publisher Tokyopop unveiled a fresh wave of acquisitions for its 2027 release slate. Among the nine total titles confirmed, two standout manhwa projects were selected for physical publication: the drama Lily of the Valley and the fantasy romance Magic Soup.

Lily of the Valley, authored by Rangrari, follows a protagonist forced into a precarious position at the estate of a notorious Duke. The narrative centers on themes of isolation and hidden affection, as the lead character grapples with the realization that her heart belongs to a handmaid named Anna rather than her captor. Readers currently following the series on Tapas can look forward to seeing the story transition to a physical format.

Joining the lineup is Magic Soup, a collaboration between creators Kimpeacock and Tropicalarmpit. The story follows Romiard, a chef who finds himself in the service of a cold-hearted, beautiful magician after a chance encounter with a mysterious white bear. Currently serialized on Tappytoon, the series blends fantasy elements with a developing romantic dynamic between the icy magician and his new cook.

While these two titles highlight Tokyopop's continued investment in the manhwa market, they represent only a portion of the nine-title licensing announcement. The publisher has yet to confirm specific street dates for these volumes, noting that further scheduling details will follow closer to the 2027 launch window.
