Donuts announced that the idol-raising smartphone game Tokyo 7th Sisters will cease operations on August 12, marking the end of a 12-year service period that began in February 2014. The game's extensive main story will reach its conclusion with the narrative arc for the "Stella MiNE" group in "Episode 2053".

To preserve the game's content, Donuts is developing an offline version. This version aims to retain core functionalities, allowing players to experience the full story, utilize the music player, watch past stage events, and view their collected cards. While the game's digital service is ending, the Tokyo 7th Sisters franchise will continue to engage fans through planned concerts and merchandise sales.

Originally launched in 2014, Tokyo 7th Sisters is set in a near-future 2034, where the idol industry has fallen out of favor. Players step into the role of a manager at the Nanastar idol agency, tasked with recruiting and nurturing idols to revitalize the scene. The game is recognized for its ongoing narrative and character development, set against a realistic depiction of the entertainment world, under the chief direction of Shintarō Motegi. The franchise also inspired the anime film Tokyo 7th Sisters: Bokura wa Aozora ni Naru, which was released in Japan in February 2021 after a delay.
