Manga creator Youka Nitta is returning to her long-running boys-love franchise, Embracing Love (Haru o Daiteita). In a joint announcement with the manga imprint Be x Boy, Nitta confirmed that a new serialization for the series will launch in spring 2027. While the creator noted that the exact length of this new project is currently undetermined, she expressed a commitment to continue the story for as long as possible, citing the ongoing support and requests from her readers.
Before the main serialization resumes, the franchise will see the release of Haru o Daiteita Daily this November. This upcoming content follows a steady stream of supplemental material, including the two-part spinoff Secret Chamber, which recently concluded in the August and October issues of Be-Boy Gold magazine. Nitta has been revisiting the characters through various special chapters since 2020, often focusing on narrative gaps within the original story.
Originally serialized from 1999 to 2009, the series centers on the complex relationship between adult film stars Iwaki Kyousuke and Katou Yoji. The franchise has previously expanded through several side stories and the Haru o Daiteta: Alive manga, which ran from 2014 to 2020. North American readers can currently find the original series in omnibus format through Viz Media’s SuBLime imprint.
