Pokemon Pokopia claimed the top spot in Japan's video game sales rankings for the week of April 6-12. The Nintendo Switch title moved 23,738 units, contributing to its total sales of 890,909 copies since its release on March 5.

Following closely behind was Mario Kart World, which sold 7,238 copies for the Switch. Bethesda's Starfield made its debut on the PS5 at number three, selling 5,368 units in its first week. Longtime best-sellers like Minecraft and Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the Switch continue to show strong legs, with the former having sold over 4.1 million copies and the latter nearing 8.5 million lifetime units.

Other notable titles in the top 10 include Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Crimson Desert on PS5, and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for the Switch. Several future releases, including Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Super Mario Party Jamboree, also appeared on the charts, indicating continued interest in those upcoming titles.
