Tomodachi Life maintained its lead in Japan's video game sales for the week of April 27 to May 3, according to data from Famitsu. The Nintendo title moved an additional 150,374 copies, bringing its total sales to 894,312 units.

Following closely behind were other Nintendo mainstays, with Pokémon Pokopia taking the second spot with 23,350 units sold and Mario Kart World in third with 8,538 units. CAPCOM saw its upcoming title Pragmata chart on both PS5 and Switch. The PS5 version sold 8,050 units, while a separate Switch listing for the game sold 4,172 units, indicating early consumer interest.

New entries also made their mark, including Sony Interactive Entertainment's SAROS for the PS5, which sold 4,614 units in its debut week. Other notable titles on the charts included Momotaro Dentetsu, Minecraft, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, all of which continue to demonstrate significant long-term sales figures.

The rankings highlight the enduring popularity of Nintendo's first-party titles alongside the performance of multiplatform releases and new IPs in the Japanese market. Games like Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also appeared, showcasing consistent sales over extended periods.
