Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter manga has officially surpassed 100 million copies in circulation, including digital sales, Shueisha announced in this week's Weekly Shonen Jump. The milestone coincides with the manga's return to serialization on Monday, ending a period of hiatus.

The announcement was accompanied by the launch of a special commemorative website and a "Shibuya Hunter Street" campaign featuring 115 characters displayed throughout Tokyo's Shibuya ward. Fans can also look forward to the release of the manga's 39th compiled volume on July 3rd, marking the first new tankobon release in 22 months.

Chapters 401 through 410 were recently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Togashi had previously shared progress on storyboards for additional chapters in late 2024, following surgery. The 38th compiled volume, which concluded with chapter 400, was released in September 2024, with its English version arriving in January 2025.

Hunter x Hunter originally began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998 and has inspired multiple anime adaptations, films, and stage plays. Recent franchise expansions include the "G.I. (Greed Island) Arc" stage play and mobile and console games like Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor and Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact. Source: Weekly Shonen Jump issue 31 and X/Twitter account
