Gachiakuta, Re-Living My Life with a Boyfriend Who Doesn't Remember Me, and The Darwin Incident are the latest recipients of the prestigious Kodansha Manga Awards, with the publisher announcing the winners for the 50th annual ceremony on Monday.

Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Ando's Gachiakuta took home the award for Best Shōnen Manga. The Best Shōjo Manga prize was awarded to Eiko Mutsuhana, Yugiri Aika, and Gin Shirakawa's Re-Living My Life with a Boyfriend Who Doesn't Remember Me. Meanwhile, Shun Umezawa's The Darwin Incident was recognized with the Best General Manga award.

This year's victors will each receive a certificate and a bronze statue. Shōnen and Shōjo category winners are granted 2 million yen each, with the Best General Manga recipient receiving 1 million yen. Previous years have seen award amounts adjusted based on the number of creators involved.

The selection committee included notable manga artists such as Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail) and Hikaru Nakamura (Arakawa Under the Bridge). Kodansha previously offered a Best Children's Manga award, but since 2015, those nominees have been integrated into the shonen and shojo categories. Source: Anime News Network
