The television anime adaptation of The Duke's Son Claims He Won't Love Me Yet (Kimi o Koi Suru Ki wa Nai to Itta Jiki Kōshaku-sama ga Nazeka Dekiai Shitekimasu) has unveiled a new promotional video, confirming its July 4 premiere. The video also revealed the anime's theme songs and additional staff members.
The series will debut in TV Asahi's "Numanimation" block on July 4 at 25:30 (effectively July 5 at 1:20 a.m.), followed by a broadcast on BS Asahi. The main promotional video showcases the opening theme song, "Itsuka Chanto." (Sometime, Properly.) by Riria., and announces the ending theme song, "Saishūkai" (Final Episode), performed by sorato.
Directed by Hitoyuki Matsui at studios Zero-G and Grass, the anime features Yui Ishikawa as Elsa Eukrainen and Sōma Saitō as Julius Royus. The story follows Elsa, the daughter of a fallen aristocrat, who accepts a marriage proposal from the elite nobleman Julius, only to have him coldly declare he has no intention of loving her after the wedding.
Additional staff announced include Sachiko Sugimoto, Toshie Kawamura, and Miori Suzuki for sub-character design, Shinobu Takahashi as art director, and Yūko Yahiro handling character designs. The manga, created by Kei Misawa and Natsu Mizuno, has been serialized digitally since February 2021 and is also available in English.
