Grammy-winning singer Peabo Bryson, whose voice graced iconic Disney songs and anime productions, has died at the age of 75. Bryson passed away on June 2, with his death announced via his official Instagram account. He had been hospitalized following a stroke.

Bryson achieved widespread acclaim for his duet "Beauty and the Beast" from the 1991 Disney film of the same name, and "A Whole New World" from 1992's Aladdin. Both songs earned him Grammy Awards, with "Beauty and the Beast" also taking home the Record of the Year award in 1993.

Beyond his Disney contributions, Bryson lent his voice to the anime world, performing the theme song "My Gift Is You" with Wendy Moten for the 1999 variety series Shūkan Storyland. He also collaborated with Japanese artist Hikaru Utada, contributing to a track on her 2014 cover album, Utada Hikaru no Uta.

Bryson's career spanned over five decades, beginning in his teens. He released his first solo album in 1976 and was reportedly working on a new album titled Grace prior to his passing.
