The official website for the Eleceed television anime has confirmed a new premiere date of April 2027, shifting from the previously announced 2026 window. The announcement was accompanied by an English-subtitled trailer detailing the story of Jiwoo Seo, a high schooler who discovers the world of the "Awakened" after encountering a talking cat named Kayden.
The production is directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori at DandeLion Animation Studio, with series composition by Yousuke Kuroda and character designs by Minami Sakura. The voice cast features Junya Enoki as Jiwoo Seo, Tasuku Hatanaka as Wooin, Setsuji Satō as Dr. Delein, Hayato Dojima as Jisuk Yoo, and Shizuka Itō as Jiyoung Yoo.
Based on the webtoon by Jeho Son and ZHENA, which debuted in 2018, the franchise has expanded into over 10 languages and accumulated more than 1.7 billion views globally. Author Jeho Son previously saw his work Noblesse adapted into an anime series by Production I.G in 2020.
