Crunchyroll has announced the English dub cast and production staff for the second season of The Detective Is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru.), with the first episode scheduled to premiere on Wednesday. The series, based on the light novels by Nigojū and Umibōzu, continues its run following the Japanese premiere on October 7.
Returning cast members include Austin Tindle as Kimizuka and Xanthe Huynh as Siesta. The production team for the English dub features voice director Jason Lord, with studio production overseen by Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt, and Nathanael Harrison.
Manabu Kurihara returns to direct the second season at studio ENGI, with Deko Akao handling series scripts and Yōsuke Itō returning for character design. The season's music is composed by 40mP, featuring the opening theme "Kono Shinzō ni Hanabata wo" by Kōme and the ending theme "Hakuchumu" by Kagura Nana. The second season was originally announced in July 2022 and underwent a delay from a planned July release to its current October window.
