Crunchyroll announced it will add Chainsaw Man โ€“ The Movie: Reze Arc to its streaming library on April 30. The film, adapting the Reze Arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto's popular manga, will be available with both Japanese subtitles and English dubs. This addition is part of Crunchyroll's month-long "Ani-May" programming event.

The film, produced by animation studio MAPPA, has already seen a wide release. Sony Pictures Entertainment managed its global theatrical debut starting September 24 in over 80 countries, with a U.S. theatrical release on October 24 and a digital release on December 9. In Japan, the movie premiered September 19 and immediately claimed the top spot at the box office, unseating the Demon Slayer film that had held the position for nine weeks.

As a highly-rated film adaptation, with the original Chainsaw Man series holding a 9.08 score on MyAnimeList from over 284,000 voters, expectations for the movie's streaming performance are high. The film's success in theaters, including a strong opening weekend in Japan that grossed over US$8.46 million, indicates significant fan interest in Denji's continued story. This streaming release on Crunchyroll makes the film accessible to a broad audience ahead of the 10th Anime Awards on May 23.
