Comic Market 108 concluded its two-day run in Tokyo, drawing a total of 260,000 attendees. While the turnout remains consistent with recent summer iterations, the figure represents a decrease of 40,000 visitors compared to the winter's Comiket 107, which saw 300,000 attendees over its two-day schedule.
Despite the dip in total foot traffic, the event saw a significant milestone in its corporate sector. Organizers confirmed a record-breaking 121 companies set up booths in the corporate area. The number of regular exhibiting spaces for dōjin circles saw a minor contraction, totaling 23,000 spaces across the weekend, a reduction of 700 from the previous event.
This year's gathering falls within the ongoing 50th-anniversary celebration for the long-running convention, which officially began following Comiket 106. Since transitioning away from the pandemic-era capacity restrictions that capped attendance at roughly 90,000 per day in 2022, the event has stabilized at its current scale, continuing its long history at the Tokyo Big Sight venue.
