The television anime adaptation of Katsuwo’s supernatural manga #Zombie Sagashitemasu is officially set to hit screens on October 3. The announcement arrived via a special livestream that debuted the project's first promotional video, offering a look at the animation style and a preview of both the opening theme, 'Lucky Lucky' by Threee, and the ending theme, 'Soft Apocalypse' by the band cadode.

Studio Comet is leading production under the direction of Shinya Une, with Kenichi Yamashita and Aki Itami overseeing series composition. The newly revealed cast features Youko Hikasa as Mikazuki, Makoto Koichi as Touka, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Takamo, Aino Shimada as Saigo, and Kousuke Toriumi as Aki's Father. The production team also includes art director Masatoshi Mutou and sound director Yayoi Tateishi.

This adaptation brings Katsuwo’s short-lived series, which concluded its run in Comic Dengeki Daioh 'g' earlier this year, to the small screen. While the manga recently received an English license from Yen Press this past July, the anime will begin its broadcast run on TV Asahi’s IMAnimation block before moving to BS Asahi and AT-X.

With the final volume of the source material already on shelves as of January 2024, the production has a complete narrative arc to adapt. It remains to be seen how the series will balance its supernatural premise within the constraints of a single-cour broadcast.
