Developer Yuzu Soft revealed during its "Yuzu Soft Songfes 2026" event that its hit visual novel Senren * Banka is officially receiving an anime adaptation. While the specific format of the project—whether a television series or an OVA—remains under wraps, the production is slated for a 2027 release.
Fans of the original game will be pleased to see the return of the core voice cast. Eri Sendai, Natsumi Takamori, Nozomi Yamamoto, and Atsumi Tanezaki are all reprising their respective roles as Yoshino Tomotake, Mako Hitachi, Murasame, and Lena Liechtenauer. Additionally, KOTOKO, who provided the iconic opening theme for the 2016 visual novel, is returning to handle the anime's opening track.
The story follows Arichi Masaomi, who inadvertently breaks the legendary blade Murasamemaru while visiting the remote village of Hoori. To atone for his actions, he is thrust into an unexpected engagement with the village's shrine maiden, leading him to uncover deep-seated curses and supernatural mysteries. Since its original 2016 release, the title has seen a global release via NekoNyan and a Nintendo Switch port, solidifying its place as a staple of the Yuzu Soft library.
