The title itself is a wordplay on the Japanese word for cockroach, "gokiburi," with the syllables "goki" and "vely" emphasized.
The promotional video showcases the four characters—Koro, Chaba, Yamato, and Wamon—and incorporates numerous jokes and sound effects related to cockroaches. Players assume the role of a recruit at "Ethar Corporation" and can pursue a romance with one of the leads. The game's dialogue and character descriptions lean heavily into cockroach-related puns and details, including their scientific names (Periplaneta fuliginosa, Blattella germanica, Periplaneta japonica, and Periplaneta americana), heights in millimeters, and weights in grams.
