Yuki Ikeda's Thunder 3 manga will wrap up its serialization in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine on June 5. The announcement was made in the magazine's June issue.

The series, which began in May 2022, had entered its climax in January 2025 before taking a hiatus in March of the same year due to the author's health. Ikeda resumed work on the manga in February.

Kodansha USA is releasing the manga in English, describing the plot as following three schoolboys who discover a DVD that opens a portal to a parallel universe. When one of their sisters is kidnapped by aliens in this alternate reality, the boys find their cartoonish bodies grant them superpowers, leading them on a rescue mission.

Adding to the excitement, the television anime adaptation of Thunder 3 is slated to debut in July on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block and other networks. The eighth compiled volume of the manga was released in January 2025, with the English version shipping on February 10.
