The anime adaptation of The Weakest Max Sorceress's Gamble (Yowaki Max Reijou nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta) is set to premiere in Fall 2026. The production has revealed its main staff and a portion of its additional cast, alongside a first promotional video showcasing the fantasy world.
The main staff includes director Hiroshi Ishiodori, known for his work on KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 2, with series composition by Kurasumi Sunao. Character designs will be handled by Hiromi Nakayama, and the animation will be produced by Studio Elle.
Joining the previously announced cast, which includes Reina Ueda as the protagonist Princess Aurelia and Kaito Ishikawa as Prince Alaric, are several new voice actors. The newly revealed cast members are Yui Ishikawa as Lyra, Nao Tōyama as Isabella, and Hiroshi Kamiya as the King. The first promotional video offers a glimpse into the series' premise, featuring Princess Aurelia and her arranged marriage.
The series is based on the light novel of the same name by Tsukasa Kiryu, with illustrations by Kazuki. It follows Princess Aurelia, a powerful sorceress who is engaged to the formidable Prince Alaric. Despite her immense power, she finds herself in a precarious position due to her fiancé's gambling debts and the political machinations surrounding their union.
