Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers has added Hina Suguta to its cast, with the actress voicing the newly appointed DST commander, Kaede Narumi. The character made her first appearance in the anime's second cours, beginning with episode 13, which aired Tuesday.
Alongside the casting news, the production team also unveiled new character visuals for Ramaga and Ryūsei Oda. The modern-day Shinjuku-set series follows five boys who don Yoroi Gear samurai armor to combat the demon emperor Arago.
The second part of the anime premiered on July 7. The series, directed by Yōichi Fujita at Sunrise with scripts supervised by Shōgo Mutō, originally debuted on January 6. It streams on platforms including Crunchyroll, U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and d Anime Store.
The original Yoroiden Samurai Troopers anime aired from 1988-1989 and was known as Ronin Warriors in the United States. Discotek Media released the complete series and OVA on DVD in 2015.
