Yen Press made a significant splash at Anime Expo on Friday, announcing the licensing of eight new titles for the North American market. The acquisitions span both manga and light novels, adding to the publisher's extensive catalog.

Among the newly licensed series are the manga Planarian Humans, Takane-san and Arashi-chan, and Zeta Gundam Define. These additions signal Yen Press's continued commitment to bringing a diverse range of Japanese comics and stories to English-speaking audiences.

In addition to the manga, Yen Press also revealed licenses for two novels. One of these is The Chef of the Adventurers' Tavern by Hagane Kurodome, featuring illustrations by Kururi. This culinary-themed story follows Yoishi, a tavernkeeper determined to create delicious dishes from even the most unappetizing ingredients, embarking on a quest that begins in his own kitchen.

The full slate of Yen Press's new licenses includes six manga and two novels, details of which were shared during their industry panel.
