Yen Press has established a new publishing imprint called Avocado House, dedicated to bringing international authors' works to English-speaking audiences through translation. JuYoun Lee, who also serves as Yen Press's publisher and editor-in-chief, is the creator and curator of Avocado House.

The imprint plans to publish approximately 12 translated titles each year, expanding the availability of global literature. A dedicated website for Avocado House has also been established.

The initial lineup for Avocado House includes acclaimed author Keigo Higashino's science fiction mystery, Laplace's Witch. Translated by Stephen Paul, the novel is slated for release in print, digital, and audio formats in October. The story follows geochemist Shusuke Aoe as he investigates mysterious deaths linked by the presence of a young woman named Madoka at both crime scenes.
