Following multiple breaks throughout 2025, the narrative—which centers on a young boy living in exile to prevent his destructive magic from consuming the world—is finally moving forward again. Shogakukan most recently compiled the chapters into a fourth volume, released this past June.
For readers outside Japan, Viz Media continues to provide the English simulpub of the series. Tanabe, who rose to prominence with the long-running supernatural hit Kekkaishi and the aviation-themed Birdmen, remains a staple of the Shonen Sunday lineup.
