With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess is returning for its second season on October 1. The announcement came with a new key visual and the reveal of additional cast members reprising their roles.
Joining the returning voice cast are Tomoaki Maeno as Prince Sarid, Minami Tsuda as Diana Peridot, and Reiō Tsuchida as Luis Riston. The anime will premiere on TV Kanagawa (tvk) at 24:00 JST on October 1, followed by an airing on CBC TV on October 2. This season sees a change in direction, with Saya Fukase helming the project at IMAGICA Infos / Imageworks Studio, replacing the first season's director Chisaki. Key staff members like sound director Yūichi Imaizumi and composer onoken are returning.
The core cast from the first season, which aired in July 2025, includes Asami Seto as Rua, Sōma Saitō as Sven, Momo Asakura as Arianne, Kazuki Ura as Garrett, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Cezee. The story follows Rua, a saintess candidate with a healing power that transfers wounds to herself, leading to her being ostracized. After a devastating betrayal by her best friend Arianne, Rua is offered a new path by the second prince, embarking on a villainess journey.
The webtoon, which concluded its main story in June 2025, has been available in English since October 2022. This 'light anime' format utilizes simpler animation to streamline production. The series was adapted from the comico webtoon by SORAJIMA and Aminohada.
