The 'light anime' adaptation of With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess is set to return for a second season this October, Animation ID announced Tuesday. The series, based on the webtoon by SORAJIMA and Aminohada, will feature a returning cast alongside new directorial talent.
Reprising their roles are Asami Seto as Rua, Sōma Saitō as Sven, Momo Asakura as Arianne, Kazuki Ura as Garrett, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Cezee. Saya Fukase steps in as the new director, taking the helm from the first season's director. The production will again be handled by IMAGICA Infos / Imageworks Studio, with returning staff including sound director Yūichi Imaizumi and music composer onoken.
The story follows Rua, a saintess candidate with the unique ability to heal others by transferring their wounds onto herself. This power, which earned her the nickname 'Broken Saintess,' led to her ostracization and a devastating betrayal by her closest friend, Arianne. After being left for dead and witnessing her friend take credit for her healing, Rua is offered a new path by a mysterious second prince, setting her on a course as a villainess.
The first season of the fantasy romance anime aired in July 2025. The original webtoon, which began publication in August 2022, concluded its main story in June 2025, with side stories following. Pocket Comics publishes the series in English.
