The official website for the Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime has announced that a third season is officially in production. This news comes shortly after the conclusion of the anime's second season, which aired its final episode on June 28th.

The second season, which ran for 12 episodes, premiered on April 12th and was simulcast by Crunchyroll, including an English dub. The series, adapted from the manga by Fujino Ōmori and Toshi Aoi, follows Will Serfort as he enters Regarden Magic Academy with aspirations of reaching the top, despite his apparent lack of magical ability.

Animation duties for the new season are expected to remain with studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, who handled the second season. Tatsuya Yoshihara served as general director for the second season, with Hideaki Nakano directing. Sayaka Ono returned as character designer and chief animation director, and Yūki Hayashi composed the music.

The Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga, also known as Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria, began its serialization in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in December 2020. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English, with the 12th volume released in March. The anime adaptation first premiered in July 2024.
