The live-action adaptation of The Ordinary Jackpot arrived on the Korean streaming service TVING today, September 10. The series, which draws its narrative from the web novel and webtoon of the same name, launched with its first two episodes. International viewers can access the show through the Rakuten Viki platform.

Jun-hyuk Lee stars as Eun-tae Gong, a department manager at Hongseong International who finds himself exhausted by corporate life. His situation takes a sharp turn after he secures a 1.8 billion won lottery prize. While he initially views the windfall as a ticket out of his professional struggles, the story follows his return to the office, where he joins forces with a team of underdogs to manage workplace pressures and personal family conflicts.

Following the initial drop, TVING will roll out two new episodes every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. KST. A traditional broadcast run is also set to begin on the network tvN on September 14, with episodes airing every Monday and Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. KST.

Why it matters: This project marks a transition for the popular webtoon into a live-action format, testing the strength of its office-drama premise with a broader broadcast audience. It remains to be seen how the pacing of the television adaptation will align with the source material's established character development.
