Got Dropped Into a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work, the hit web novel by Deok-soo Baek, has officially received a webtoon adaptation. The new visual version debuted on Kakao Page on June 5.

This adaptation marks the first visualized iteration of the popular Korean novel, which achieved significant success by topping Kakao Page's all-genre annual rankings in 2025. The original work garnered immense popularity, accumulating over 100 million cumulative views within its first three months and reaching approximately 370 million total views with over 600,000 user comments.

The webtoon is helmed by artist Ssyungnyung, known for their work on the I Failed to Oust the Villain webtoon. The adaptation aims to faithfully recreate the tone and pacing of Baek's novel, utilizing the vertical-scroll format to enhance immersion. The narrative centers on Sol-eum Kim, a rookie employee at Baekilmong Company, who navigates urban legends and develops survival strategies against supernatural threats.

The series' unique premise, which involves continuing to work even after encountering ghost stories, and its focus on analyzing and overcoming supernatural rules have been key factors in its broad appeal. While the original novel is not yet available in English, author Deok-soo Baek's other novel, Debut or Die!, and its webtoon adaptation are available in English via Tapas.
