Visual Arts has announced the creation of its new visual novel brand, VISUAL ARTS Scripts, alongside the unveiling of its debut title, Sayagatari -Promise of the Cursed Blade-. The game is scheduled for release this year, initially as a physical edition with a Steam version to follow.

Sayagatari follows ex-kendo practitioner Kanemori Tōya, who unseals a forbidden shrine and meets Saya, a girl wielding a cursed blade. The narrative centers on their partnership to battle demons, with Saya's kiss possessing the power to counteract the curse. Mii Yamaya is credited with the scenario, Taisuke Takanashi composed the music, Riichu provided original illustrations, and Pero handled the SD illustrations.

The VISUAL ARTS Scripts brand also teased two other projects in development. Tekkai Jōsai no Haika is set in the aftermath of a massive fire, focusing on archaeologist Yūma Kuze's encounter with a mysterious girl named Haika within derelict structures. The second title, Honjō Renyoku to Ushinawareta Naharas, takes place in 1969 Tokyo, where the protagonist searches for a rare book and meets a silent girl amidst the excitement of the Space Age.

Visual Arts defines the VISUAL ARTS Scripts brand as one that facilitates "emotional experiences that change the everyday world." The company's well-known Key brand has produced titles such as Kanon, Air, Clannad, Little Busters!, and Rewrite. Their game Summer Pockets received a 26-episode anime adaptation that premiered in April 2025, and the game anemoi is set for release on April 24.
