The latest promotional video for the original anime Vertex Force has arrived, courtesy of the Aniplex One Focus livestream. The new footage offers a preview of the series' musical identity, confirming that the duo ClariS will provide the opening theme, 'Synchro Blue,' while the group Hashimero handles the ending theme, 'Emerald.'
Beyond the music, the production team announced two key additions to the voice cast: Kazuki Ura will voice the character Alan, and industry veteran Nana Mizuki joins the project as EDVA. They join a lineup that already includes Makoto Koichi as protagonist Akira Todo and Kaede Hondo as his sister, Haruka.
Directed by Kazuhiro Takamura, the series centers on a family secret involving a mysterious power known as 'Engine.' Takamura, known for his work on Strike Witches, is also handling character designs for the project. The mechanical aesthetic is bolstered by the involvement of Kanetake Ebikawa and JNTHED, both of whom contributed to the designs for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.
Vertex Force is scheduled to begin its broadcast run on October 3 across Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, with streaming confirmed for U-NEXT in Japan. With the premiere date now set, the primary question remains whether the series' blend of character-driven drama and high-concept mecha design will resonate with audiences looking for a fresh original IP this fall.
