The upcoming original television anime Vertex Force is slated for an October premiere, with its official website unveiling the main staff and a teaser promotional video. Kazuhiro Takamura, known for directing Strike Witches and Vividred Operation, is helming the project at SMDE and also handling character designs.
Joining Takamura on the staff are Gorō Kuji as assistant director, Kanetake Ebikawa and JNTHED for mechanical and ENIA designs respectively, and Masashi Suzuki overseeing series scripts alongside Takamura. Nobuaki Nobusawa will compose the music, with dugout handling sound production. The project also revealed its first character, Haruka Tōdō, a 16-year-old high school student from Okinawa described as innocent with strong physical abilities.
Additional key staff include Masahito Onoda as chief animation director and Hiroyuki Tadokoro as CG director. The production team also features Zhang Peng Jian for modeling direction, Mineyo Ōnishi for color design, and Ryōka Kinoshita for art direction, with Toshiki Amata on art setting. Masahiko Yagi is the director of photography, Akinori Mishima is the editor, and Tomohiro Yoshida is the sound director.
Takamura has expressed that Vertex Force is an original work designed to incorporate his personal interests, including cute girls and cool mecha.
