The supernatural action series Ura-Tokyo: Exorcist City is nearing its conclusion. According to the 42nd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine, the manga will publish its final chapter in the magazine's next installment, slated for release on September 24.
Written and illustrated by KOJIRO, the series follows Soma Kuroniwa, a student who finds himself cursed with a dangerous spirit after wandering into a forbidden forest. To survive, he enrolls in a high-stakes exorcist academy where the graduation rate is notoriously low. The story centers on his struggle to hide his true nature while navigating the brutal training program and the encroaching threat of powerful spirits.
Since its debut on March 17, the manga has been available to international readers through the K MANGA platform, which launched the series concurrently with its Japanese release. With the second compiled volume having hit shelves in mid-August, the upcoming finale marks the end of a relatively short, fast-paced run for the dark fantasy title.
