During their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Udon Entertainment announced the acquisition of three distinct manga titles from Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha, Ltd. Leading the list are two all-color works by Hiromi Matsuo: Department Store Waltz, a period piece set in an early 20th-century provincial department store, and Rondo: The Ladies' Graphic Magazine, which centers on a fashion publication marking its centennial. Additionally, the publisher picked up the Belles Ruelles anthology series, a collection spanning four volumes that explores various shops and locales within the fictional town of Euphemia.
Beyond their manga lineup, Udon is expanding its portfolio of high-end art books. The company confirmed a January 27, 2027 release for the 224-page Spy x Family: Animation Art Book, a hardcover collection originally published by Wit Studio in 2023. This joins a growing list of library-quality releases, including Hidetaka Tenjin's Artistry of Gundam arriving September 22 and the upcoming The Art of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Fans of gaming history can also look forward to two massive hardcover collections dedicated to the work of legendary illustrator Shinkiro. CAPCOM Masterworks: Shinkiro and SNK Masterworks: Shinkiro are both slated for release on December 1, showcasing the artist's iconic contributions to both companies' catalogs. Rounding out the announcements, the publisher confirmed that their latest Manga Biographies entries—focusing on instant noodle inventor Momofuku Ando and aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart—will hit shelves on September 1.
