Readers of Tune In to the Midnight Heart will have to wait an extra week for the next chapter of Arisu Yamabuki’s search for the mysterious radio host, "Apollo." The 45th issue of Weekly Shōnen Magazine confirmed that creator Masakuni Igarashi is currently stepping away from the series to focus on his health. The production team expects the manga to return to its regular serialization schedule in the magazine's next issue, slated for October 14.

Igarashi, known for his previous works like Senryū Girl, launched this title in September 2023. The story follows a high school student attempting to track down a former radio personality by joining his school's broadcasting club, where he encounters four aspiring voice talents. The series has maintained a steady release cadence, with its 14th compiled volume arriving in Japan this past August.

Beyond the print serialization, the franchise has seen significant expansion. An anime adaptation premiered earlier this year on January 6, with Crunchyroll handling the streaming and English dub distribution. With a second season already confirmed for a 2027 premiere, the upcoming week of downtime is a minor pause in a busy production schedule for the series.
