Tsutomu Nihei’s latest fantasy epic, Tower Dungeon, has officially crossed the one-million-copy threshold in global circulation. The milestone, confirmed by the creator's editorial staff, highlights the continued momentum of the series since its debut in the pages of Monthly Shonen Sirius in October 2023.

The narrative follows Yuva, a humble farmhand thrust into a high-stakes rescue mission after a sorcerer usurps the throne and abducts the princess to the formidable Dragon Tower. Armed with little more than a pot lid, Yuva’s journey serves as a departure from the industrial, sci-fi landscapes typically associated with Nihei’s work, such as BLAME! and Knights of Sidonia.

Kodansha has been aggressive with the title's release schedule, with the sixth compiled volume reaching Japanese shelves this past March. For international readers, Kodansha USA has been keeping pace, releasing the fifth volume in English earlier this May. The series also received a brief, stylized promotional video produced by studio keel to celebrate its ongoing success.
