Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs is set to return for its second anime season this July. Kadokawa unveiled the first promotional video and a new key visual for the upcoming season, confirming its summer debut.

The newly released trailer showcases returning characters and provides a glimpse of the action to come. The anime continues to follow Leon, an office worker reincarnated into a dating sim where women hold power. Armed with his memories of the game, Leon seeks a peaceful life, though his actions often disrupt the established order.

Kazuya Miura returns to direct the second season at ENGI, with Kenta Ihara also back to handle series scripts. Masahiko Suzuki is reprising his role as character designer and chief animation director. The returning cast includes Takeo Ōtsuka as Leon, Kana Ichinose as Olivia, Fairouz Ai as Angelica, and Ayane Sakura as Marie. Akira Ishida, Kenichi Suzumura, Kōsuke Toriumi, Shinnosuke Tachibana, Kōji Yusa, and Nobuyuki Hiyama are also returning as Luxion, Julius Rapha Holfort, Jilk Fia Marmoria, Brad Fou Field, Chris Fia Arclight, and Greg Fou Seberg, respectively.

The first season of Trapped in a Dating Sim premiered in April 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming the series and its English dub. The light novel series by Yomu Mishima concluded in Japan in March 2024 with its 13th volume. A manga adaptation is ongoing, with a new arc and creative team having launched in August 2025. A spinoff novel and its manga adaptation are also available.
