The upcoming season of Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen has confirmed its broadcast plans, revealing that the adaptation will air in two split cours. The first installment is set to debut on October 2 at 11:30 p.m. as part of Nippon Television's Friday Anime Night block, with the second cour slated to follow in April 2027. To prepare viewers for the new arc, the network will air special recap episodes covering the Kyoto and Nerima arcs on October 1 and 2.

The production team also unveiled a new promotional video, which offers a first listen to the opening theme, "BACKLASH" by Hiromitsu Kitayama, and the ending theme, "Te to Te" by the group TRACK15. Alongside these musical updates, three new cast members have joined the series: Kenichi Suzumura as Kusabi Momoura, Yuuki Kaji as Hizumi Momotsugi, and Kishou Taniyama as Senritsu Momoo.

Returning staff members include director Ato Nonaka, series composer Yukie Sugawara, and character designer Ryouko Amisaki, all working under Studio Hibari. The series continues the adaptation of Yura Urushibara's long-running manga, which has reached 30 volumes in Japan. With the series split across two distinct windows, it remains to be seen how the narrative pacing will shift between the fall debut and the spring 2027 conclusion.
