Adult Swim's Toonami programming block is refreshing its late-night rotation this month with the addition of two action-oriented anime series. Wind Breaker is slated to join the lineup on October 11, with Gachiakuta following shortly after on October 18. The network is also introducing the animated series Get Jiro! to the block starting October 11.
The updated schedule for October 17 reflects a shift in the early morning programming, beginning at 12:00 a.m. with Get Jiro!, followed by Wind Breaker at 12:30 a.m. and Gachiakuta at 1:00 a.m. These will be followed by One Piece, IGPX, Lazarus, and Blue Exorcist to round out the block.
Both Wind Breaker and Gachiakuta have previously established their presence through digital platforms. Satoru Nii's Wind Breaker saw its first season debut in April 2024, with a second season arriving in April 2025. Kei Urana's Gachiakuta made its Japanese television debut in July 2025, and a second season for the series has already been confirmed. Both titles have been available to international viewers via Crunchyroll, which currently hosts English dubs for both shows.
Why it matters: Bringing these titles to cable broadcast provides a traditional viewing alternative to their existing digital availability. With Gachiakuta already confirmed for a follow-up season, this broadcast run serves as a bridge for viewers catching up on the series' debut.
