Titan Manga has confirmed plans to publish a special anniversary edition of Yunosuke Yoshinaga's long-running mecha series Break Blade (also known as Broken Blade). The release is scheduled to hit shelves on December 15, marking a return for the title to the English-language market after a significant hiatus.
The series, which follows Rygart Arrow—a rare individual incapable of using magic who discovers an ancient, pilotable Golem—originally concluded its 20-volume run in Japan in 2022. This new edition offers a fresh opportunity for readers to engage with the story's blend of political maneuvering and large-scale mechanical warfare, which was previously only partially available in English through the now-defunct CMX Manga imprint.
Beyond the source material, the franchise remains well-known for its 2010-2011 six-part film series and the subsequent 12-episode television adaptation that aired in 2014. While the manga's history in North America was cut short by the closure of DC Comics' CMX division in 2010, this anniversary release aims to provide a complete experience for fans of the mecha genre. Given the long gap since the series' initial English publication, it remains to be seen how the anniversary edition will be formatted to accommodate the full 20-volume scope.
