Though I Am an Inept Villainess, the television anime adaptation of Satsuki Nakamura's light novel series, has unveiled its full trailer. The new video showcases the opening theme song "Sunny" performed by singer-songwriter milet, marking her solo debut as an anime opening theme artist. The trailer also revealed five additional voice cast members joining the production.

The newly announced cast includes Rei Igarashi as Kou Kenshū, Ai Kayano as Shu Gabi, Mai Nakahara as Kin Seika, Inori Minase as Ran Hōshun, and Yui Ishikawa as Gen Kasui. These additions supplement the previously announced main cast, which features Manaka Iwami as Kou Reirin and Natsumi Kawaida as Shu Keigetsu. The series is directed by Mitsue Yamazaki at Dōga Kōbō, with character designs by Ai Kikuchi and series scripts overseen by Yoshiko Nakamura.

Originally slated for an April premiere, the anime's debut was rescheduled to July 12 due to production delays. It will air on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream the series internationally across North America, Europe, and other regions. The story centers on Kou Reirin, who finds herself body-swapped with her assailant Shu Keigetsu, forcing her to navigate court intrigue in a new form. Seven Seas publishes both the light novel and manga in English.

In addition to the trailer and cast news, the anime's staff announced that former Takarazuka Revue stars Madoka Hoshikaze and Hana Jun will serve as special supporters. Preview screenings are scheduled for June 21 in Tokyo, with a "Big Hit Prayer Event" set for June 28.
