Otakon 2026 has confirmed a massive lineup of industry guests for its upcoming run at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Among the highlights are dedicated panels for three specific anime projects: The World Is Dancing, The Vermillion Mask, and the studio Orange production Trigun Stargaze.
Fans of The World Is Dancing can look forward to a panel featuring voice actor Simba Tsuchiya, director Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, and producer Kan Mizoguchi. Meanwhile, the adaptation of The Vermillion Mask will be represented by director Tetsuaki Watanabe and producer Kozo Misawa. Trigun Stargaze will also have a presence, with director Masako Sato, producer Yoshihiro Watanabe, and voice actress Chika Ayamori slated to appear.
The convention’s guest list extends far beyond these titles, featuring a heavy-hitting roster of industry veterans. Notable attendees include BONES president Masahiko Minami, Production I.G co-founder Takayuki Gotō, and Production I.G. USA president Maki Terashima-Furuta. The event will also host a wide array of voice talent and creators, such as Ryōtarō Okiayu, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and Yuka Iguchi, alongside representatives from the Final Fantasy XIV team.
In addition to the guest announcements, the convention is implementing a significant policy change for its 2026 iteration. The dealers room will no longer permit the sale of fan art; vendors previously selling such items have been directed to apply for space in the Artist Alley instead. The event is scheduled to take place from July 31 through August 2.
