The production team for The World Is Dancing anime has released a new music trailer, offering a glimpse into the vocal performances of Yumiri Hanamori as Oniyasha and Romi Park as Zojiro. Alongside the trailer, additional cast members were announced, including Yōji Matsuda as Inuo and Miyuki Sawashiro as Shirabyoshi. A new visual also accompanied these reveals.

The series is set to premiere on July 2 in Japan, airing on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto at 10:00 p.m. JST, followed by broadcasts on Sun TV, BS Asahi, and TVQ Kyushu in the subsequent days. The anime stars Yumiri Hanamori as Oniyasha and Romi Park as Zōjirō, with Shimba Tsuchiya as Ishiya, Maaya Uchida as Kogane, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kan'ami, Haruki Ishiya as Jūnigorō, Takahiro Sakurai as Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, Nobuo Tobita as Nijo Yoshimoto, Mamiko Noto as Nariko, Inori Minase as Chiharu, and Hazuki Seto as Satsuki.

Directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, known for his work on Backflip!!, the anime is being produced by Cygames Pictures. Keigo Sasaki handles character designs, and Satoshi Nemoto is credited for calligraphy and title lettering. The opening theme song, "shusho," is performed by Macaroni Empitsu.

The World Is Dancing is based on Kazuto Mihara's manga, which concluded in October 2022. The story follows Oniyasha, born into a sarugaku theater family during Japan's turbulent Northern and Southern Courts period. Haunted by the question of why people dance, his life changes after witnessing a truly "good" dance, charting his path toward becoming the legendary Noh performer Zeami.
