Fans of Itaru Bonnoki’s slapstick vampire series can look forward to a return of the theatrical adaptation of The Vampire Dies in No Time. The production, which first debuted at The Galaxy Theatre in June 2023, is set for a revival run at Tokyo’s Theater H from November 20 through November 29, 2026.
Creative lead Daiki Murakami is returning to helm the project, reprising his triple role as scriptwriter, director, and lyricist, with Shū Kanematsu once again handling the musical composition. The production maintains its core chemistry, with Ikkei Yamamoto stepping back into the role of the fragile vampire lord Draluc and Hiroki Suzuki returning as the perpetually stressed vampire hunter Ronald.
The supporting cast remains largely intact as well, featuring Arisa Sonohara as Hinaichi and Takuya Kon as Draus, among others. The production has already released character visuals for the full ensemble, showcasing the faithful costume design that helped the original run resonate with followers of the source material.
While the stage production continues to bring the gag-heavy world of Shin-Yokohama to life, the franchise itself remains a staple in the comedy genre. Following its 2021 Madhouse-produced anime adaptation, which holds a 7.28 rating on MyAnimeList, the series has maintained a dedicated following across two seasons. This revival provides a fresh opportunity to experience the surreal dynamic between the "Invincible Progenitor" and his hunter, despite the ongoing health-related hiatuses that have affected the original manga’s serialization schedule.
