The production team for The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune released a new promotional video this week, providing a first look at the upcoming 2027 series. The footage introduces the protagonist, Siegbert, who finds himself reincarnated into a new world with immense luck, alongside his exceptionally talented older brother, Gert. The update also included a new illustration showcasing the Abel family.
Voice actor Shōya Chiba has been tapped to star as Siegbert. Beyond his vocal performance, Chiba also wrote the lyrics for and performed the series' image song, "Luck Out," which serves as the backdrop for the new trailer. The production is helmed by director Shigetaka Ikeda, with Aki Mizuki overseeing series composition and screenwriting. Character designs are credited to Yumiko Hara and Yūki Osada, with animation handled by East Fish Studio.
Based on Fukufuku's light novel series, the story explores the life of a boy who transitions from a history of bad luck to a world of newfound power and familial support. The property has expanded significantly since its 2020 debut on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, with the light novels and Zun Nakabayashi's manga adaptation currently reaching over 1.75 million copies in circulation.
