The television adaptation of The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring is moving up its debut, with an early streaming release scheduled for September 11 at 5:00 p.m. JST on OceanVeil and AnimeFesta. Following the digital rollout, the series will begin its standard television broadcast in Japan on October 4 via BS11, followed by a Tokyo MX airing on October 6.
A newly released promotional video offers a first look at the series and previews the opening theme song, "Choux Cream," performed by Hitomi Suzune. The production team is led by director Kazuomi Koga at Studio Hōkiboshi, with Eeyo Kurosaki handling series composition and Minakyawa Akapiv serving as character designer.
This project represents a shift in production history, as creator Puuzaki Puuna has stated this is the first direct-to-TV anime adaptation of an adult dōjin manga, bypassing the traditional OVA route. Furthermore, the anime will feature an original narrative arc that diverges from the events of the source material. The original manga, which follows a landlord who gains control over a yōkai through a cursed ring, has been published in English by Irodori Comics.
