The production team for The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom has released a second promotional video, offering a fresh look at the fantasy adaptation ahead of its fall debut. The trailer highlights the series' expansive cast and features a preview of the opening theme song, "Sayonara wa Iwanai," performed by the artist yama.
Alongside the trailer, the official website confirmed five additional voice actors joining the project: Miyuki Sakurai as Eleonora, Natsumi Fujiwara as Princess Brunhild, Takehito Koyasu as Elliot, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hugo, and Daisuke Namikawa as Peregrinus. These actors join a previously announced ensemble that includes Kengo Takanashi, Makoto Tanikawa, and Haruki Ishiya, who voice the titular brothers.
The anime is slated to begin its broadcast run on October 3 on NHK Educational. Director Kiyoko Sayama, known for her work on To Your Eternity and Vampire Knight, is leading the production at J.C. Staff, with series composition handled by Shinzō Fujita. The project marks another adaptation for author Nao Iwamoto, whose Kingdom of Gold, Kingdom of Water manga was previously adapted into an anime film in 2023.
With the series set to air on NHK, it follows a high-profile lineage of fantasy adaptations often featured on the network. While the source material has earned significant acclaim—including a top spot on the 2018 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list—the transition to a television format will test how the studio balances the manga's episodic, kingdom-hopping narrative structure.
