The television anime adaptation of The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me is officially set to begin its run on October 6. The announcement arrived alongside a new key visual and a main promotional video, which offers a closer look at the developing dynamic between Sōta Oshio and his classmate, Koharu Satō.

Production is being handled by Tezuka Productions, with Fumihiro Yoshimura directing and Takashi Aoshima overseeing the series scripts. The musical landscape for the series is anchored by Masayoshi Ōishi, who performs the opening theme 'Sugar Salt,' and HoneyWorks feat. Hoshikawa Sara, who provide the ending theme 'Hatsukoi Reply.' Following its initial broadcast on AT-X, the show will roll out across Tokyo MX, BS-TBS, and other networks, with domestic streaming scheduled via d Anime Store and U-NEXT.

Based on the light novel series by Kazami Sawatari and illustrator Achiki, the story explores the awkward, shy reality behind Koharu's reputation for being 'salty' or cold. The source material has seen a steady release schedule since 2019, with the 13th volume of the light novel arriving shortly after the anime's debut. Fans of the franchise can also look toward the manga adaptation, which continues to serialize on Manga ONE and Ura Sunday.
